2026 Quilt Challenge

Theme: HEXAGONS

  • Any method of piecing can be used including epp, applique.

  • This quilt can be hand or machine pieced, hand or machine quilted.

  • Must be at least 1 metre in size can be square or rectangle.

  • Only one entry per class allowed.

In addition, the quilt must still meet the entry condition for the section.

Put yourself on show 

The handicrafts competition is the perfect place for expert makers to showcase their skills, and for new makers to receive the feedback and encouragement they need to grow. 

There are over 400 competition classes open for entry across knitting, leatherwork, craft, ceramics, woodwork and metalwork disciplines. Open to all age groups, the Show’s handicraft competitions allow competitors to show off their work to a broad audience.  

Competitors in the cuddle toy class will also make a difference in a young family’s life, as all toys from this class will be donated to the Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
