The 2011 Royal Adelaide Show presented by IGA was a wonderful success with 489,554 people coming through the gates. 29,755 entries were received across 55 competitive sections and new competitions including a beer section was introduced and well received this year.
The inaugural Volunteer Programme was positively received with 30 Volunteers providing a point of contact and assistance for Show patrons and exhibitors in a range of areas. The Show Magazine continues to provide South Australians with pre Show information and the Show's first APP and mobile site was highly sought after with more than 46,000 downloads being achieved. Several animals were born in the BankSA Animal Nursery and there was even a wedding on the Ferris Wheel.
New Zealand fabric artist Jenny Gillies presented Naughty by Nature to appreciative audiences throughout the Show, this was Jenny's third and final time at the Adelaide Show. The planning for the 2012 Show is well underway and we look forward to welcoming you to what will be the 237th Royal Show.
