The Learning Centre

The Learning Centre is an interesting, informative and interactive area where young people can have fun learning about public education and agriculture in a safe and supervised environment.

Located in the Old Ram Shed, there will be a range of displays and demonstrations where visitors are invited to look, listen, touch and learn.

The Learning Centre is on the Farm Walk, where children can have hands-on experience with farm animals in supervised pens staffed by agricultural science students and teachers from South Australian public schools.

Farmyard Nursery

One of the best loved show traditions is the Farmyard Nursery. Appealing to both young and old alike there will be plenty of traditional farm animals on show. Children can cuddle cute baby animals such as rabbits, chicks and guinea pigs whilst having their photograph taken.

The nursery will include miniature Shetlands, goats, lambs, chicks and calves to name but a few.

The main aviary will have plenty of our feathered friends on show too!

Milking Barn

The Milking Barn offers a great environment for children of all ages to learn through interactive, educational displays and hands-on activities, such as hand milking, just where milk comes from and how it is transformed into dairy based products. It brings a little piece of country life to city visitors and is a unique way for them to learn about the progress milk makes from cows to those products we find on the supermarket shelf.
