The Show Museum holds millions of stories across 185 years of history from the RA&HS, Royal Adelaide Show, Royal Adelaide Wine Show and the Adelaide Showground.  

Come and be delighted by the secrets of our state. 

Each exhibition is carefully curated from our collection, which includes: 

  • Royal Adelaide Show trophies, medals and more than 700 framed photographs, artworks, and certificates 

  • a library of more than 3,000 books such as Show competition catalogues, results, media guides, and programs; The Society Magazine; RA&HS minutes; and herd books as well as historical business records, photo albums and slides 

  • vintage agricultural equipment and machinery 

  • historical carnival items featuring a Mad Mouse car, dodgem car, laughing clowns, and a replica miniature ferris wheel 

  • music history items and memorabilia from Adelaide Showground events 

  • sports history items from the West Adelaide Football Club (tenants from 1927-1939), speedway, harness racing and more 

  • historical and architectural fixtures like the iconic Centennial Hall entrance lamps.
