The Royal Agricultural and Horticultural Society (RA&HS) Archives Foundation exists to preserve and celebrate the long history of the RA&HS, the Adelaide Showground from which it operates and iconic events such as Royal Adelaide Show, the Royal Adelaide Wine Show, along with the many culturally, socially, and economically significant events held on the grounds of the RA&HS in its 185-year history.
The long and significant history of the RA&HS is on display at The Show Museum, which is curated each year for the Royal Adelaide Show from the items within the archives collection.
Through the generosity of donors, the RA&HS Archives Foundation has been able to build a collection of historical items which are available to explore from 10am to 6pm every day of the Show, and available on appointment throughout the year.
In 2025 we will be celebrating 100 years at the Adelaide Showground in Wayville. To celebrate, we will be introducing Showground history walking tours and the RA&HS Archives throughout the 2025 South Australian History Festival celebrations. There are exciting things coming for the RA&HS Archives and we can only do what we do with the support of the RA&HS and the donations of our generous supporters.
