Exhibitors can enter a Cuddle Toy, suitable for Children or a Memory Box (entries go to the Women’s and Children’s Hospital) or a Hat/Cap suitable for Chemotherapy Patients (St Andrews Hospital) and a Beanie (Hutt Street Centre). Other sections to look at are Basketry, Leatherwork, Classes for People with Special Needs, Origami, Scrapbooking and Porcelain Art.
Queen Victoria Challenge
In 2019, the theme is the Bicentennial of Queen Victoria’s birth. Twenty one themed classes are available for entries ranging from a Victorian Bonnet to a Victorian diorama. A Purple Rosette will be awarded to the Best Overall Queen Victoria Challenge Exhibit.
Daily Demonstrations - 10.30am-3pm
An information and demonstration area providing tips and advice on a range of handicrafts will be located within the Duncan Gallery. Representatives of Guilds and teaching associations will provide demonstrations and assistance on their specialities.
