The Royal Agricultural & Horticultural Society of South Australia is the organiser of South Australia largest event, the Royal Adelaide Show. An Agricultural Society was first formed in South Australia 180 years ago in 1839 and was based on the principals of the Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland. Just one year later they put on a Show to display the produce of the early colony.
