Competition opens May 19

Are you ready to be a part of history?  

Running for more than 180 years, the beef cattle competition is one the richest of its kind in Australia. More than $30,000 is up for grabs in this prestigious event as competitors showcase some of the best beef genes across Australia.  

The Show has competitions open for the following stud breeds:  

  • Angus Belted Galloway 

  • Brahman 

  • Charolais 

  • Gelbvieh 

  • Hereford 

  • Highland 

  • Limousin 

  • Murray Grey 

  • Red Angus 

  • Red Poll

  • Santa Gertrudis 

  • Shorthorns 

  • Simmental 

  • Speckle Park 

  • Square Meaters 

Competitors who win the Supreme Champion Female and Supreme Champion Bull classes from each breed will have the opportunity to compete against each other and win the prestigious title of Supreme Champion Beef Cattle Exhibit in Show.  

Led steer competition 

The Thomas Foods International Led Steer competition continues to grow each year. The thriving school competition serves to support (and reward) the next generation as they make their way into this rewarding industry.
